Maximise storage space

A small wardrobes can pack a punch way above their size would suggest with the following clever ideas.

It is important to calculate the amount of hanging versus drawers and shelving.

If you have a small area to maximise your storage you could follow these guidelines

• incorporate as much double hanging as possible and limit the tall hanging space.
• Plan to have your wardrobe installed at 2100mm high so baskets can be put along the top shelf for seasonal items and below the hanging for shoes.
• A narrow (450mm wide) set of drawers can accommodate almost as much as a wide set of drawers without eating too much into the hanging space.

• Tie and belt racks take a minimum amount of space and make finding those accessories so quick and keep these items out of your precious drawer space.
• Consult an experienced wardrobe person, their skills will be invaluable for ideas & fittings that can get the most out of your wardrobe space.
